Elvis Pays It Forward

Elvis

Elvis was one of the first students to benefit from U-TOUCH's Sponsored Students Program back in 2015. Today, eight years later, he has graduated from university and returned to give back as a mentor and volunteer.

From Beneficiary to Benefactor

When Elvis first received sponsorship from U-TOUCH, he was a struggling student from a family that couldn't afford school fees. The program covered his education from secondary school through university, where he earned a degree in social work.

"U-TOUCH didn't just give me an education - they gave me a purpose. Now I want to be that source of hope for others, just as someone was for me."

Becoming a Mentor

After graduation, Elvis joined U-TOUCH as a volunteer mentor. Every weekend, he meets with current sponsored students, helping them with their studies, guiding them through challenges, and showing them what's possible.

"When they see me - someone who was in their exact situation - it gives them hope," Elvis explains. "They know that if I could make it, they can too."

Creating a Ripple Effect

Elvis has mentored over 30 students in the past three years. Many of them are now in secondary school or university, following in his footsteps. The cycle of giving continues, creating ripples of positive change throughout the community.
