Julius is a bright 12-year-old from a farming family in Mbale District. Before joining U-TOUCH's Sponsored Students Program, he spent most of his days helping his parents in the fields instead of attending school.
A Boy with Big Dreams
From a young age, Julius showed an exceptional aptitude for numbers. He would count everything - the goats in the field, the bananas on the trees, the stars in the sky. But without access to formal education, his talent remained undeveloped.
Finding His Place
When U-TOUCH identified Julius through their community outreach program, his potential was immediately apparent. Despite his limited schooling, he demonstrated remarkable problem-solving abilities during the assessment.
Today, Julius is thriving in primary school, consistently ranking first in mathematics. His teachers describe him as a "natural mathematician" who often helps his classmates understand difficult concepts.
Dreams for the Future
Julius dreams of becoming an engineer. "I want to build bridges and buildings," he says with enthusiasm. "I want to build things that help my community." With U-TOUCH's continued support, that dream is well within reach.
